Subject: [KYBRECKI] Cemetery name change/difference
Date: Fri, 4 Jul 2008 12:22:56 -0400
Hey all....
Was doing some work on the death cert pages and linking up to cemetery pages when I noticed something I thought I should give you guys a head's up about.
I came across a name that I couldn't locate in a Dowell Cemetery (there were 4 listed cems. on the list). I double checked the DC to make sure I had the right name listed on the DC (it was listed as the John Dowell Cemetery), and couldn't find the individual listed anywhere. When I pulled out my cemetery books, I found the specific individual (Edward Howard) listed, but not listed in the John Dowell Cemetery as was written on the DC. Instead, I found him buried in the Hensley-Dowell Cemetery.
With that piece of knowledge, if by some chance you come across a DC with the listing of "John Dowell Cemetery" as the place of burial.... you might want to check the Hensley-Dowell cemetery pages. It appears that Hensley-Dowell Cemetery was once known as the John Dowell Cemetery.
Happy Hunting!!
