Ivan Bland, 80
CANNELTON - Ivan Edward Bland Sr., 80, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital, Tell City.
A native of Hardinsburg, Ky., he was born April 27, 1924, the son of the late Alvin and Jurushia (Kellems) Bland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna; a sister, Dorothy Young; two brothers, Homer and Alvin Bland Jr.; and a grandson, Joe Bland. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed gardening and yard work.
Surviving are two sons, Ivan E. II of Rome and Jerry of Tell City; two sisters, Violet Reed of Cannelton and Shirley Curl of Tell City; a brother, David of Tobinsport; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) at New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton. Pastor William Van Nunen will officiate.
Friends may call at service time at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church, Cannelton. Condolences may be left online at www.huberfuneralhome.net.
