Thanks for the info, and I will look into the file. Unfortunately, I don't think my guy is this one, as mine always called himself Samuel W. Overstreet, and we never saw a spouse for him. We do have him in the mexican and civil wars. I only have his civil war papers. We have another Overstreet cousin who was called Samuel R. Overstreet.
