Of course I remember you. And, didn't we have lunch together in E-town? I visited the graveyard last fall shortly after the prison team cut all the trees and cleaned it up. Although it was clean of debree, it seemed pretty drab and dreary...

I noticed that Henry Pile, and his wife Hannah Pomeroy Duncan Pile's marker was damaged and the letters were missing....probably from the work crew. If you recall, their markers were ones put up by a funeral home when the memorial dedication was held back in about 1974 or so....

I have an idea which I have yet to act on. Near our home in Roswell GA is a huge marbel quarry. I know of a place which has a "ton" of old marbel slabs which look to be the same size of many of the hold gravestones of the era of our ancestors. What do you think about the idea of me getting a few of them and having their names and proper inscriptions carved into the stones and erecting them on the actual graves which have none?

Incidentally, how I will be happy to send you some cash for the weed control. I care deeply about that place....how much was it an i will send you some. As far as the stones I mention, I have no idea how much it would cost but if you think it would be a good idea and the other Pile's would not care, I will check on this possibility. I think Earl and Shirley would not mind but I would check first. Perhaps we could collect some funds if it is more than I personally am comfortable covering.

I am so glad you contacted me in that I have lost a bunch of older email addresses, yours included. I have thought about your many times. Please give me your phone number. Perhaps we can get together the next time I am up there. My folks are doing pretty good, just old. Dad is 86, Mom is now 80.

Hey didnt you mention once that you were aware of some old pictures of Henry Pile hanging (framed) in a family members home? Are there other pictures we can somehow get of the family? Can we somehow have a "picture" sharing party of all those interested?
