I found John Shryer in the 1820 Christian County census
Males: 3 to age 10; 2 between 10 and 16; and 1male 45and up.
females: 1 to age 10; 3 between 16 and 26; 1 between 26 and 45
There were no Shryer's listed in 1830 and 1840
In the 1850 census I have, I only found one Shryer
970/1037 Mark W. Shryer age 28 born Ky
Mary J. 26 born Tn
John A. 3 born Tn
Margaret R. 1 born Tn
Jas. J. Haven 15 sadler born Ky
Jacob McG 13 born Ky.
I did not find any Shryers in 1860 or 1870

I'm trying to discover more information about my ggggrandfather, John Shryer and family in Christian Co. KY. He is listed in the index of the 1820 Christian Co. census. Also, in the 1850 Christian Co. census, there are two Shryers listed on pages 425B and 426A. Would anyone have the information from these census or the years in between? I'll be happy to share what I have about the family.
Many thanks,
Vickie (Shryer) Bearman
