Hi all,
Posting in order to try to find kin of my great-grandfather's brother, Penfield Carter 1855-1934, born in Va. moved to Hopkinsville, Ky.

My grandmother had mentioned to me some years ago now of her Uncle Penney. Later I found a Penfield Carter as a brother of her father, Hiram Lee Carter, in the census records. And just 2 years ago I found that Penney had moved to,lived and died in Hopkinsville, Ky.
He married to Annie Word in 1880 and they had 4 children:

Florence Bennie Carter (b. 1884) who md. Stephen E. Everett, they had 1 daughter Anna Florence Everett who married Otto Fish.

Katie Mae Carter (1891-1978) who md. A. F. Wortham, no children

Martha Ann Carter (1897-1972), never md.

Houston Carter (1902-1984) who md. Mary Helen Butler, they had children.
