Shelby Price, 91, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville. Son of the late Samuel Price and Nancy Sprowles Price, he was born on May 27, 1910, in LaRue County, Ky., and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Price was a veteran of World War II and was an assistant race horse trainer. Survivors include two nieces and three nephews, Iona Bale of Summersville, Opal Goff and Elroy Pepper, both of Campbellsville, Dewey Pepper of Louisville and Fran Coleman of Ohio. He was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters, Jim Price, Mary Coleman, Stella Jones and Bertha Pepper. Funeral was at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 16 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in LaRue County. Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The Rev. Roger Pepper officiated. Pallbearers were Oval Tapscott, Sam Pepper, Dewey Pepper, Fran Coleman, Eddie Goff, Elroy Pepper and Kenneth Goff. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrange!
