Jan 18, 1982 Roxie Nolan Helton Dies.

Mrs Roxie Helton, 71, Cawood , died Monday in Harlan Applachian Regional
hospital after a short illness, she was a native of the County.
Services willl be condcted Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Mt. Assembly Churchh
of God in Cawood. Burial will be in Pope Cemetery with the Reverand Ed Bray
officiating.
She is survived by 10 children , Mrs Mae Griffin, Thomas Helton, Billy
Joe Helton, Mrs. Mildred Chancy, Indiana: Mrs Margie Rolphs, Gene Helton,
Dorothy Helton, Cawood; Mrs. Peggy Harris, Pinville; Mrs. Frances Snow,
Cicero, and Charles Helton, Bobs Creek. Also survivng are three sisters, Mrs.
Roy Osborne, Rosspoint; Mrs Spicey Johnson , South Corolina; Mrs Arthur
Cain, Sunshine; A brother Arch Nolan, Michigan; 34 grandchildren, and 11
great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pall bearers , the body will be taken to the
church at noon Thursday. The family will receive friends today and Wednesday
from 6 until 9p.m. in the chapel of Anderson -Laws Funeral home.
