Number of Convicted Men have Life Sentences

Sheriff Blair and his deputies left for Frankfort with 22 convicted
prisoners, deputies are J.J. Hensley, Harrison Howard, Tobe Rutherford, J. K.
Bailey, Pearl Parsons, Tom Middleton, and from Evarts, Mr Montgomery. Housed
in a special car, the train is to arrive in Frankfort, eight o'clock on
Wednesday.

Twenty four felonies one suspended judgment against Add Shell and a new trial
was granted. Charlie Price, charged with horse stealing appealed but did not
ask for a stay.
Notes: Mack Griffin escaped the train near Corbin and after a two hour
search, officers failed to recapture Griffin. Griffin was a Negro.
