WEEK OF APRIL 3, 1925
Five Boys Found Guilty
Lazarus and Dennis York, Sim Simpson, S A Saylor,
John Osborn, ( all being less that 21) were
arraigned in Judge Howards court Saturday, charged
with breaking and entering into a poolroom and
restaurant at Wallins Creek and all of the boys
except the York boys pleaded guilty to the
charges. A trial was had for the York boys and
they were found guilty.
Six Pass Examination for Tax Commissioner
Out of ten men who stood examination in this
county for Tax Commissioner before Attorney John B
Carter, only six passed. The six men passing the
test on the grading of the state tax commissioner
were: C. N. Nolan, C.J. Nolan, Carter Howard,
Will Roark, John (A or H) Ward, and T.H.Howard
