Here are some of my Kenton Co searches Kathryn (nee?) Griffiths was a
resident of Covington at one time and the first wife of our William
Griffiths. I know she died Holmes Hosp in Cincinnati OH of a brain tumor.
I am
thinking this Kathryn may have been Catholic since she had a requium high
mass at St. Mary's Cathedral prior to her burial. I can't imagine her
husband being Catholic, if he was I am certain he would have converted for
her. She was survived by one brother and one sister. But no maiden name is
given in her obituary. If I can find records on this Kathryn that get her
to 614 Delmar in 1938 then I have BINGO. I am told that there are no
records of births in KY prior to 1911 so I will have to work through the
churches for her.

When I get an obit for this woman I will find a funeral home and cemetery.
Then hopefully link her to our Nellie and eventully link all these to our Wm
and maybe one day find descendants that have photos of this man.

I do her both obits for these woman. No children were listed for wife
#1.Wife #2 had 2 children listed as step children to our Wm. A Mrs Ella Mae
Rivard was one and I think I found her death record in KY and she died the
same yr our Wm did only later and she died at a Cin hosp at age 53. I have
not found anything on the second step daughter. I am hoping to eventually
find their descendants to see if they might have photos of this long lost
Griffiths' family member. While I have to link William to the Delmar addy I
really feel he is our Wm E. Griffiths.
If anyone knows either of these lines please shout. I would love to make a
connection before the Griffiths' reunion this yr. Last yr I surprised the
family with records of this Griffiths' line in Wales now I would like to
have more of this branch to share. I know the descendants would not know
much on him as the info on the d/c was incorrect on his middle name and
there was no mother mentioned. But I still have such feelings that he is
our Wm. He worked for Billboard for many yrs and the family that had
billboard was tight with the Griffiths family and even went for visits to
the Jackson Co OH Griffiths' farm. I have one or two photos from the vists.
I know I am getting closer.
