Who knows, this may be a clue:

In the booklet,
History of Laurel River Association of Missionary Baptist, First
Century, 1831-to 1931,
on page 14 there is a
JOE WEAVER & A MRS. JOE WEAVER
listed as members of Slate Hill Baptist Chirch, 1832 locatred about 3
1/2 miles south of London, KY. (Don't you hate it when they list the
wife as Mrs.Joe Weaver?)

There are many WEAVERS listed in this booklet. I am not all the way
through reafing it, so there may be more about this family.
