Sonya, This story reminder me of my cousin Addie. Addie was the
widow of a World War I soldier. By frugile savings she had
accumilated a few thousand dollars in the bank drawing
interest. A smart fellow came along and started a whir-wind
courtship with Addie. They married and when Addie's money was
gone so was the groom and so was the pension..
Addie had a friend have herself hauled into the county
court and declared incompetant to handle her affairs, got the
marriage annuled and her pension restored and lived happily
thereafter to a ripe old age with enough moneyin the bank to
induce someone to care for her.
