This is something I found in the Parker vertical files at the Kentucky
Historical Society Library in Frankfort. There is a letter dated July 5,
1949 from a Mrs. Musladin in Berkeley, CA inquiring about the brothers,
Alexander and Pleasant Parker. In an attached note in hard to read writing
are what looks like some marriages or births with volume numbers. One of the
deaths is "P L ,age 82, March 14, 1857, diarrhea, b NC, son David-Susan
Parker. I think this refers to Pleasant Parker, husband of Sarah/Sally
(Dillard?) and grandfather to the Alexander and Pleasant mentioned above. It
seems to fit in with census records. Just thought I'd post this since I
think there are alot of Parker descendents out there. I hope to check for
this record in the Laurel County Courthouse this week.
