In for a penny in for a pound so I might as well type this one too. All of
the following are the letter writers words except for the question mark I
threw in if I wasn't certain of the writing.
1786 Spruce St, Berkely 9, California

Miss Iva Hardin, Kentucky Historical Society, Frankfort, KY
Dear Miss Hardin,
Here are some records which concern Kentucky people:
Green Parker, of Massachusetts family- Reading: had Silas, b 1758, Ebenezer
and several daughters.
Vital Records, Dracut, Mass. from Massachusetts State Library
1. Green Parker, New Bern District, Beaufort Co., NC
2. Silas Parker, Edentown District, Bertie Co, NC
I think this will prove to be the ancestor of Pleasant Parker (wife
Sally), Laurel County, KY - US census 1850.
Alexander Blevins, born KY, according to US census 1880, Lodi (Elkhorn Twp)
California, 1810. Lived in Bourbon County, KY. Son by first marriage, Riley
Blevins. Riley Blevins had Laurel County land grant.
Alexander Blevins married, second, Lavinia Vanderpool, Stone Post, Boone Co.,
Missouri, June 1839 by Squire Jones. ---From Mrs. Chillingworth Wing, age
97, in 1949, (Sade Blevins, dau of Alexander) Mrs. James McGee, granddaughter
, Ashland, Oregon. (They claim West Virginia for Alexander's birthplace.)
My tradition is of cousin relationship between Blevins-Parkers-Work-Ballinger
Notes:James Work married Lucinda Laizy (?) , 1831-Bourbon Co., KY
Work-Parker descendents claim a Bollenger great grandmother. Spelling
unknown.
The earliest Work ancestor was from Ireland in 1790's, ie, Joseph Work
married Nancy _______; Lived in Sullivan and Roane Counties, Tenn. Their
son, Hopkins Work married Martha Parker, daughter of Pleasant of Laurel Co.,
KY.
I find Blevins in Ashe Co., NC- 1790. Also Blevins in Burke Co., NC 1790.
I want to find
1. Work Ballenger marriage, 1790's
2. Parker Ballenger " " "
3. Blevins Ballenger " " "
4. and a Blevins-Ballenger connection in Boone County Missouri.
Just thought you'd like to know about the Parker tree. That line is
well recorded in Massachusetts.
Sincerely,
Luvia Musladin
(Mrs. Wm. Musladin)
