I descend from Ragan Brock and his son George Washington Brock, not George Ragan
Brock. George W. brock married Laura Ann Cox in Sebastian County, Arkansas. They had
two sons, Laura died in Arkansas. George W. Brock returned to Laurel County,
Kentucky, where he married Lydia Jane Harrison, my Great Grandmother. George and
Lydia later went to Saline County, Arkansas where my grandmother, Etta Caroline Brock
was born. They later moved to Bryan County, Oklahoma. George is buried in the
Yarnaby Cemetery in Bryan County, Oklahoma. Lydia is buried in the Rosewood Cemetery
in Achille, Bryan County, Oklahoma. My Grandmother and Grandfather Lievsay are also
buried in the Achille Cemetery.
Lydia Jane Harrison's father was Andrew Harrison. Andrew was married twice. He had
large families by both wives. You can find all of this information on Census and
other records in Laurel County, Kentucky. I know nothing about the Baker family.
You appear to have some wrong information on George Brock. If you will look in the
Laurel County, Kentucky records, you can find the marriage of Lydia Jane Harrison and
George Brock.
There are two large families of Brocks in Laurel County. There is Elder George Brocks
family. He had three wives and children by each one of them. Ragan Brock was a son of
Capt. John Brock who was in the War of 1812. I have his records from the National
Archives.
