Mary Marcum, 96, 396 Westerfield Road, London, died at the Hillcrest Nursing
Home, Corbin, Tuesday, July 25, 2000.

Born in Clay County, Dec. 15, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Thomas
and Emily Wagers Marcum. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Marcum was preceded in death by her husbands, John Benge, and Carlo
Foister.

Survivors include a son, Willie Foister, London; a sister, Sophia Mills,
Hamilton, Ohio; and a nephew, Delbert Tatman, London; 11 grandchildren;
and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Bowling
Funeral Home chapel with Farmer J. Smith and Roger Miller officiating.

Burial followed in the Merrimac Cemetery, London.
