Vada Lee Bruner Miller, 87, of 1265 Roy Dugger Road, London, died Tuesday,
July 25, 2000, at the Christian Life Center in Corbin.

Born January 27, 1913, in Laurel County, she was a long-time member of
Sinking Creek Baptist Church and was a prominent member of the community.
She and her husband served as foster parents for more than 100 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Bruner and Martha Hubbard
Bruner; her husband, Elbert Miller; a sister, Stamphie Marcum; and a brother,
Hansford Bruner.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Sue Caldwell and husband Edward,
of London; five sons, Bob Miller and wife Evelyn (Jones) of Sharonville,
Ohio, the Rev. Bill Miller and wife Eunice (Boggs) of Ludlow, Ky., Jack
Miller and wife Geraldine (Sims) of Somerset, Ky., Jimmie Miller and wife
Norma Jean (Smith), of London, and Charles Miller and wife Juanita of Berea,
Ky.; one brother, Roscoe Bruner and wife Thenia (Jones); 18 grandchildren;
33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives
and friends including an "adopted daughter" Cathy Disney, London.

Funeral services for Mrs. Miller were held at the Sinking Creek Baptist
Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, with the Rev. Jimmy Williams, the
Rev. Paul Fredricks, and the Rev. Delmer Gross officiating.

Burial followed in the Dunn Cemetery, London.

House-Rawlings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
