Hazel Pennington
Teacher/clerk

Hazel Pennington, 91, of 113 North Main Street, London, Kentucky, died
Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.

Born August 27, 1908, in Jackson County, Kentucky, she was a retired clerk
from Hackney's and Bob's department stores, was a retired teacher in the
Laurel and Jackson county school systems, and was a member of the First
Christian Church of London, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jenny (Bowling) Medlock and Willie
Medlock; her husband, Charles F. Pennington; and a brother, Dan Medlock.

Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Moberly of London, Ky.; two sons,
Charles Pennington of London, Ky., and Bill Pennington of Frankfort, Ky.;
two sisters, Marie Casteel of Conroe, Texas, and Sada M. Tudor of Richmond,
Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 30, at the First Christian Church
of London with the Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial followed in the
A.R. Dyche Memorial Park at London.

House-Rawlings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
