FEBRUARY 5, 1904

TUTTLE

John Mabe is in London on the grand jury.

"Aunt"Jane Cabbage is in very poor health at present.

Mary, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tuttle, has been quite ill,
but is some better.

It is a pretty girl baby and registered her arrival upon the calendar of
time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hale, Jr. Friday last.

Married, Saturday at the residence of Rev. J. E. Jones here, Woods Crook to
Miss Rena Sturgill the pretty daughter of Isham Sturgill. The queerest part
about the wedding is this that after the ceremony had been performed by Bro.
Jones, and the license brought forth for signature, some one suggested that
as they had been procured in Knox county, that should and ought to be
married in said county, so the party went to Mt. Olivet school house where
Bro. Jones again pronounced them man and wife.

SASSER

Dill Asher is still working for the Graham Lumber Co.

G. G. Brock of London, was visiting relatives at this place Wednesday.

W. B. Gilbert and Taylor Sasser start for Louisville in the near future.

GIBBS

N. B. Gilbert left for a trip to Clay county.

Born to the wife of Peter Sasser, a bouncing boy.

T. F. Sasser was the guest of N. B. Gilbert Friday night.

James Gilbert, our clever merchant after a severe attack of LaGrippe is
again out .

LAKE

Miss Lily Brock visited Misses Maude and Elen Weaver, Sunday.

Mrs Elen Gregory visited her mother Mrs. John M. Brock, last week

Tom Jeff Jones has returned home after an absence of several years in the
army.

LESBAS

Mr. and Mrs. John Jackson of Fariston, spent Saturday and Sunday with their
mother, Mrs. Mattie Jackson, of this place.

Joe Russell of Bush, was here Sunday.

Misses Mary and Lydia Gregory, of Marydell, visited their cousin, Miss
Stella Parman, Sunday.

Mrs. Nettie Sherman and little daughter, Bertie of Union, visited relatives
here Saturday and Sunday.

WEAVER

Mrs. Annie Rader of Olatha, Kan., who has been visiting relatives in
Kentucky for the past month started on her return home last Thursday
morning.

Whooping cough is raging at this place.

Elice Nelson is very sick this week.
