Donna, I show your grandfather being born 7-18-1909 in Worley, Ky. Died
1947 buried in Nancy Grave Cemetery, McCreary County, Kentucky. He was
the son of Noah Russell Waters,b 1-15-1866, d. 4-21-1930 buried Nancy Grave
Cem. Married Dycie Ann Smith 1-26-1887. She was b. 8-3-1870 and d. 5-19-1912
bur. Nancy Grave Cem. They had 10 children. I also show that Noah married
Herzella Roberts 10-26-1912 b. 7-9-1871 d. 10-23-1956 bur. Nancy Grave
Cem. 1 child - Edna Rachell Waters.
I show your Grandmother as Deva Cooper Smith b. 1910 in Scott County, Tenn.
d. 1935 bur. Nancy Grave Cem. She married Crit 1-24-1931 in Worley, Ky.
I show her mother as Betty Slaven. I don't know if Deva was married to
a smith before Crit???I show her father as Sherd Cooper b. 3-16-1887. Sherd
had a brother Wiley Frank Cooper b. 4-13-1880 d. 1971. m. Kizzie Winchester
2-14-1904 b.3-29-1881 d.5-29-1987 both are buried at Pine Knot Cemetery.
They had 11 children. Deva's father was also married to Eva Jane Waters
b.1902 in Bald Knob,McCreary Co., Ky. d. 9-14-1973 bur. in Pine Knot Cem.
They had 7 children. Hope this helps.
