Subject: [McCr] Calling the court to order, sort of, 1913

>From McCreary Ct. Order Book 1, about a year after the county was founded:
"Court being called to order by the Sheriff, P.R. Bell, and not being in
possessoin of the records of the McCreary Quarterly Court owing to the
lawless condition on the part of a few individuals and threatening
confusion, it is now ordered by that Court that all the cases which
stands(sic) for trial this term of the McCreary Quarterly Court Monday March
24, 1913, be and the same is hereby continued untill(sic) the next regular
term of this court which will convene Monday, April the 28th, 1913. This
court now stands adjourned until the 2 day of April, 1913, at 9 o'clock a.m.
J.E. Williams, judge."
