Hello everyone~
About the new site being started for McCreary Co. It seems very strange to
have one that is <http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymccrea/>; (ours) and one that
is <http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymccre2/>; (the proposed new one) --- I have
never known RW to do this before - to use the same address for 2 websites
by just adding the number 2 (!) but I think I figured out what is happening.

There is someone who has requested to adopt McCreary on ALHN (American
Local History Network). I am a member of ALHN also. The CRR site is a part
of ALHN since they began a couple of years ago.

They have gone through some changes lately. They asked me to make the
McCreary site a part of the ALHN which I planned to do and told them that I
would. Someone there sent me a message that they were making changes and
would get in touch when they had everything straight. Apparently they were
in the process of getting a new administrator for the Ky part. Anyway -
they forgot to get back to me I guess and had put McCreary on their adopt
list and someone did adopt it apparently.

The site is not up yet but if I find out more I will let you all know on
the list. I am not trying to keep anyone from using it or anything. :<) I
will let you know if I learn anymore about it. The ALHN url is
