Margy gave me permission to also post the obits from Scott & Campbell Co. TN
churches that were in the minute books. Hope you can find a connection. So
I'm just going to post them as I get to them. Some are still KY churches.

Bobbie
Laxton, Delonia-Born January 29, 1853, died January 26, 1948, age 94 years,
11 months, 27 days. She joined New Salem Church at a young age, moved her
letter to Annadel, March 28, 1936. She was a member of the church for 75
years. She lived a devoted Christian life until death
Lambert, Thomas Edwin-Son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lambert was born May 7, 1930,
passed away November 29, 1947, at the age of 17 years, 6 months and 21 days.
He was baptized into the Bethlehem Church, July 1944, and was a faithful
servant until death.
Branim, Lucinda-Born March 26, 1881, deceased, January 1, 1948, age 66
years, 9 months and 5 days. She joined the Black Creek Church in 1901 and
was faithful until death. She leaves a husband and twelve children, two
brothers and one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her
loss. We feel our loss is her eternal gain in Glory.
Bridges, J. D.-Born 1873, deceased June 14, 1948. He joined the Capuchine
Church at an early age and was faithful until death. He was a Deacon of the
Capuchine Church for several years. He leaves a wife, 13 children and a
host of friends to mourn his absence. We feel that our loss is his eternal
gain in glory.
Carson, Nancy-Born March 3, 1874, died April 8, 1948. She was baptized
into the Cherry Fork Church, April, 1887. She loved to tell the story of
Jesus and lived a faithful Christian life. She leaves 3 sons and 3
daughters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her absence. May we
all live as to meet and live with her in Glory.
Cecil, Reason H.-Born April 11, 1877, died October 26, 1947. He was
baptized into the Cherry Fork Church, April 1896, and lived a devoted
Christian life until death. He leaves a wife, 4 sons, 1 daughter and a host
of relatives and friends to mourn his absence. We feel our loss is his
eternal gain in glory.
West, Charley-Age 76 years, was received into the Cherry Fork Church by
baptism in May, 1887. He departed this life, December 31, 1947, leaving a
wife, 2 sons and a host of friends to mourn his absence. We feel our loss
is his gain in glory
Lawson, Della-Was born in 1895, died June 5, 1948, age 53 years. She became
a Christian many years ago and lived a Christian life until death. She
leaves her husband and three sons and one daughter, also a host of friends
and relatives.
Smith, Ada Belle Reed-Born May 10, 1890, died December 26, 1947, age 57
years, 7 months and 16 days. She joined the Bethlehem Church and was a
charter member of the Hazel Valley Church, organized in 1932. She was
faithful until death. She leaves a husband and one daughter and a host of
friends to mourn her absence.
Thomas, William Finley-Born January 1883, died July 19, 1948, age 65 years,
6 months and 10 days. He joined the Hazel Valley Church in 1933 and lived a
faithful life until death. He leaves his wife, seven children, one brother,
and one sister and a host of friends to mourn his absence.
Foster, Bertha King-Born February 28, 1885, died April 8, 1948. She was a
member of the Helenwood Church for many years and was faithful until death.
She leaves three brothers and a host of friends to mourn her absence. We
feel our loss is her eternal gain
Sharp, Mrs. Rachel-Born June 14, 1892, died June 26, 1948, age 56 years, 12
days. She joined the church at an early age and lived a Christian life
until death. She leaves three brothers, two sisters and a host of friends
to mourn her absence. We feel our loss is her eternal gain.
Chambers, Ancil-Born June 4, 1913, died January 6, 1948, age 34 years, 7
months and 2 days. He joined the New Light Church, August 22, 1933. He
leaves a wife, 7 children, a father, mother, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a
host of relatives and friends to mourn his absence. We feel our loss is his
eternal gain in Glory.
