Bell, Seymour-Was born on September 25, 1881. He deceased this life June 9,
1964 at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was the son of the
late J.T. and Nancy Bell. He was married to Margaret Lawson, August 15,
1889. To this union were born three sons, Clifton Bell, Willard Bell,
Herstle Bell; 3 daughters, Eva, Pearl, and Estella Mae. His first wife,
Margaret Lawson Bell preceded him in death May 1, 1915. He was married to
Laura B. Posey, November 25, 1917. To this union was born one son, Simon S.
Bell and two daughters, Nellie Christine and Vera C. Bell. Nellie, Pearl,
and Estella preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, his
widow, Laura, 4 sons, Clifton, Willard, Herstle, and Simon; and two
daughters, Eva Crabtree and Vera Dingus, and a host of relatives and
friends. He professed a hope in Christ and was baptized into the Pine Grove
Church July 28, 1918. He spent a number of years as a Sunday School
Superintendent and Bible teacher. He was a great Sunday School Leader and
teacher. We may say with our beloved Brother, the Apostle Paul, he has
fought a good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the faith.

Strunk, Burdette, Jr.-The son of Burdette and Myrtle Cordell Strunk, was
born in Scott County, Tenn. on June 13, 1927. Deceased this life February
23, 1964 at the age of 36 years, 8 months, and 10 days. On March 24, 1945,
he was united in marriage to June Childers and to this union three children
were born. One son, Roger, preceded him in death. Besides his parents, he
is survived by two daughters, Judy and Faye Strunk both of Akron, Ohio;
three brothers, Clell Strunk of Winfield, Tennessee, Ralph Strunk of Toledo,
Ohio and Fred Strunk of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Strunk
of Oneida, Tennessee, Mrs. Earl Perry of Florence, Kentucky and Mrs. Glenn
Charles of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also leaves a great host of other
relatives and friends. He professed a hope in Christ in May, 1945 and
united with the Pine Grove Church where he remained a member until his
death. Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord. Pine Grove Baptist
Church.

Owens, A.V.-The son of the late Wesley and Burnetta Goodman Owens was born
in Scott County, Tennessee on January 10, 1890; deceased this life July 13,
1964 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 3 days. He is survived by 5
sisters, Mrs. Nevada Stahl, Mrs. Edna Wolfe, Miss Bertha Owens all of
Houston, Texas, Mrs. Florida Abbott of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Frances Schulz
of Cincinnati, Ohio; 1 Brother, Iowa Owens of Cincinnati, Ohio. He
professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Pine Hill
Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death. We join the
family in their bereavement. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.

Daugherty, Thornton Estol, Sr.-Was born March 3, 1913; departed this life
June 13, 1964. He joined the Second Otter Creek Baptist Church at the age
of 14, remaining a member there until his death. He married Myrtle King and
to this union was born 5 children. Two preceded him in death. He leaves to
mourn his absence his wife, Myrtle Daugherty, two sons, Gene Roger and
Thornton Estol, Jr.; one daughter, Willa Katheryn Daugherty; one
daughter-in-law, Linda Mounce Daugherty; two grandsons; his mother, Anna
Daugherty; 3 sisters, 4 brothers and many other relatives and friends. His
kindness will always be remembered by everyone who knew him. Second Otter
Creek Baptist Church.

Hansford, Robert E.-Passed away at Oak Ridge Hospital March 18, 1964. He
was born October 22, 1893 and was a member of the Shirley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hettie Hansford, Allardt, Tennessee; 2
sons, Henry Hansford of Dayton, Ohio and Edgar Hansford of Nashville,
Tennessee; 2 daughters, Mrs. Grace Stockton of Jamestown, Tenn. and Mrs.
Nelda Blevins of Rockwood, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 4 great
grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Betty Fleck and Mrs. Lucy Young of
Louisville, Kentucky; 2 brothers, Archie Hansford of Baltimore, Maryland and
Theodore Hansford of Somerset, Kentucky. We know our loss is his eternal
gain in Heaven. Shirley Baptist Church.
