Botts, Thursey Ann Cook-Was born Sept. 28, 1872, deceased this life July 21,
1952, age 80 years, 11 months and 9 days. She was married to Rev. W. T.
Botts and to this union were born 10 children, 2 deceased this life in early
age. She brought her letter to Annadel Church in 1927, belonging there the
remainder of her days. She was a faithful member until death and was loved
by all who knew her. We feel our loss is her eternal gain in glory.

Thomas, Haggard-Deceased this life March 14, 1946, age 13 past, professed a
hope in Christ and Joined the New Light Church about 1 year ago and was a
very notable boy in his living. He leaves father, 1 brother, 1 sister,
stepmother and lots of friends. Everybody that knew him and we have reasons
to believe our loss is his eternal gain in heaven. Gone to sleep in Jesus.

Wilson, Artennie King-was born to the late Emby King and Rosa Duncan King
October 10, 1879. She joined the United Baptist Church at Old Otter Creek
in 1894. She came to the Second Otter Creek Church when it was organized
and remained a member until death. She married Murry Wilson, October 17,
1897. To this union were born 2 boys and 5 girls, Maudie Simpson, William,
Opal and Ollie, all deceased. Rosa Thomas, Polly and Terrah Wilson, all of
Strunk. She leaves her husband, 2 girls and 1 boy, 2 sisters and 2
brothers, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, many in laws, and
nieces and nephews and many friends to mourn her absence. Be we know than
Aunt Tennie is now at rest with her Lord. She suffered for more than 4
years, but she was very patient. She never seemed to complain. She was a
quite, loving mother, wife, sister and aunt. It was always a great joy to
visit her and talk with her. She always was wishing that she was able to go
to church. Aunt Tennie quietly went to sleep Wednesday evening at 5:10,
June 4, 1952. She was 72 years, 7 months and 18 days old. She will be laid
to rest with her loved ones in the family lot near her home to await the
coming of our Lord. May each one of her loved ones left behind determine to
meet her in the great morning of the resurrection.

Meadows, Willie Ester-Born April 27, 1918, died September 6 at 4 a.m. in
Somerset Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Aliene Duncan Meadows,
mother Mrs. Mary Meadows, 4 sisters, Mrs. C. C. Morrow, Evensville, Tenn.,
Opal Meadows, Pine Knot, Ky., Mrs. Eldred Musgrove, Pine Knot., Mrs. Hurstle
Long, New Orleans, La., 2 brothers, Edward and Leonard both of Pine Knot and
a host of friends and relatives. United with the church at West Apple Tree
October 15, 1950. We feel our loss is his eternal gain in Glory.

Hammock, John-Born March 31, 1876, deceased this life September 10, 1952 at
the age of 78 years, 5 months and 10 days. He joined the Tunnel Hill
Baptist Church and was baptized July 20, 1932. He leaves to mourn his
absence, 3 daughters, Mary Wright of Beaver Dan, Wisconsin; Ida Lockard of
Brookwell, Ind.; Leatha Smith of Oneida, Tenn., 2 sons, Willie Hammock of
Oneida, Tenn., and Bailey Lee Hammock of Cincinnati, Ohio, 1 sister, Mrs.
Jane Smith of Oneida. He also leaves 24 grandchildren and 16 great
grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. We feel our loss is his
eternal gain in Glory.

Duncan, William C.-Was born January 16, 1868, deceased this life March 8th,
1952, age 84 years, 1 month and 22 days. He was married to Sarah Jane
Stanley 60 years ago, who preceded him in death 8 months ago. To this union
were born 8 children, 2 deceased this life in their youth. He leaves to
mourn his passing 6 children, Mrs. Eva D. Byrd, Mrs. James Jeffers, Louie
Claborn, Freddie Duncan, all of Oneida, Bailey Duncan of Detroit, Mich., 10
grandchildren, 2 great grand children and a host of friends and relatives.
He joined the Pentecost Baptist Church October 19, 1930, and lived a
faithful Christian life until death. We feel that he has gone to live with
Jesus.

Chitwood, John M.-Was born May 31, 1875, departed this life August 4th, 1952
at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 4 days. He was the son of Marion and
Sarah Ann Chitwood, Johnny and Louisa Tramell were united in marriage
December 31, 1896 and to this union there were born 9 children, Ray and
Frank of Winfield, Bessie Washam of Pine Knot, Ky., Bert of Stearns, Ky.,
Myrtle Coffee of Oneida, Ernest and Earl of Toledo, O., Silas and Caney
having died in early childhood. He leaves to mourn his passing is wife and
the 7 living children, 1 sister, Mrs. Cinthia Cartineau of Waynesburg, Ky.,
and 16 grand children and a host of relatives and friends. Bro. Chitwood
professed a hope in Christ more than 50 years ago, joined the Pleasant Grove
Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until death. His seat will be
vacant in the old church, but in our hearts there will remain many pleasant
memories of the past. We wish to say with Sister Chitwood and the
children, we feel your loss is great, so is ours but we are assured that our
loss is his great gain in glory.

Honeycutt, Sister Eliza Jane-Was born Nov. 27, 1859 and on Dec. 1, 1951 the
death angel called her home to be with Jesus. She was 92 years of age. She
was married to J. M. Honeycutt and to this union were born 9 children, 6
boys and 3 girls, 7 deceased this life and 2 living. She joined the United
Baptist Church in October 1885 and was baptized in May 1886 and lived a
devoted Christian life until Jesus called her home to be with Him. She
leaves behind to mourn her passing 2 sons, 20 grandchildren and 1 half
brother with a host of great grandchildren and relatives to mourn her loss..
She made her home with her oldest son Calvin Honeycutt for 10 years and will
be greatly missed in his home. Her special songs were "I Feel Like
Traveling On" and "The Uncloudy Day" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder
I'll Be There." Sleep on mother and take your rest, God called you home, he
thought it best. Written by her oldest son Calvin Honeycutt.

West, Bro. W. R.-74 years of age, departed this life August 22, 1952. He
joined the Pine Creek Baptist Church in 1932, was a deacon of the church, a
number of years and lived a devoted member until death. We feel our loss is
his eternal gain.

Sexton, Lily Belle-Wife of Odell Sexton, of the U. S. Army, was born July
17, 1890; died February 14, 1952. She was a faithful member of the Paint
Rock Church for many years until death. She leaves to mourn her absence a
husband, Mr. Odell Sexton, of the U.S. Army, two daughters and one son,
mother, Mrs. Talmon Sexton, three brothers, Arthur, Clifford and Kermit
Sexton; three sisters, Mrs. Caldwell Jeffers, Mrs. A. Y. Yancey of Oneida,
Tenn., and Rosa Lee of Iowa. Her last request was, "Meet me in Heaven, I am
going to be with papa." She leaves many friends to mourn her loss, but we
feel our loss is her eternal gain in Glory.
