Sanders, William Harry-Age 52, deceased August 25, 1957. He was a faithful
member of the White Rock Church and also a good Sunday School teacher. He
leaves one sister, Mrs. Isezella Jeffers and other relatives and friends. We
hope to meet again some day.

Laxton, Esau-Age 72. He was a member of the White Rock Church, deceased
October 13, 1956. He leaves a wife and nine children, other relatives and
friends. We hope to meet again some day.

Jeffers, Semar S.-Age 66, deceased April 22, 1957. He was a member of White
Rock Church and deacon of his church. He leaves a wife and two daughters.
We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.

Hatmaker, Mrs. Mary Francis-Age 55, deceased September 29, 1957. She died in
Dayton, Ohio but was a very faithful member while she lived here at
Huntsville. She leaves a husband, four daughters and two sons, other
relatives and friends. We feel our loss is her gain in glory.

Angel, Mrs. Fannie-Age 43, deceased October 5, 1957. She was a
faithful member of White Rock Church. She leaves a husband, three daughters
and two sons, others relatives and friends. We feel our loss is her gain in
glory.

Phillips, Lindsay D.-Born December 30, 1877, deceased January 31, 1957, age
79 years, 1 month. He was united to Matilda DeLillian Carson April 17th,
1902. She preceded him in death 23 years. He leaves one son and two
daughters, one brother, two sisters, a host of relatives and friends to
mourn his absence. He professed a hope in Christ, joined the Cherry Fork
Church, was baptized April 26, 1922 to become a charter member of Tunnel
Hill Baptist Church, then dismissed by letter as a charter member of
Pentecost Church Sept. 1929 where he remained until death. He was a
faithful worker of Church and Sunday School, serving as Superintendent and
teacher for many years. He was a true and kind husband and father. Last
words to his family. I have fought a good fight, finished my course, now
ready to go to rest in Heaven.

Wilson, Murry-The son of Billy Wilson and Betty Strunk Wilson was
born March 9, 1874, departed this life March 17, 1957, age 83 years and 8
days. He was married to Artenmie King. To this union were born 7 children,
5 girls and 2 boys. His wife and four children preceded him in death,
Artensie, Maudie Simpson, Opal, Ollie and William Wilson. He joined the Mt.
Pleasant Church a long time ago and he lived a good Christian life. He
often talked about Heaven, said when he left this world he was going home.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Terah Wilson, two daughters, Rosa
Thomas and Polly Wilson, all of Strunk, Ky., also eight grandchildren,
sixteen great grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, three brothers, Richard and
Rob, both of Strunk, Ky., and Burl of Pine Knot and many relatives and
friends who do very sadly miss him, but we feel that our loss is his gain in
glory.

Massingale, Mrs. Selma Lackey-Age 78 years, passed away September 26, 1956,
after a lingering illness. She was a member of the Black Creek Baptist
Church. She leaves to mourn her absence one son, Raymond Massingale, of
Pontiac, Mich., three daughters, Mrs. Zora Tompkins and Mrs. Alta Morgan, of
Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Delphia Tompkins, of Elgin, Tenn., two brothers, Riley
and Mitchel Lackey and one sister, Mrs. Luisa Blevins, all of Robbins, Tenn.
Funeral services were held at the Elgin Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph F.
Pane officiating. Burial in the family cemetery with Schuberts in charge.
We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.

Jeffers, Jasper-Born July 25th, 1863, departed this life November
16, 1957[1956 according to tombstone], being 93 years, 3 months and 21 days
old. He joined the Byrges Creek Baptist Church, July, 1944, and lived a
faithful Christian life until death. He leaves to mourn his absence several
nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. We cannot express
our great loss but we feel our loss is his eternal gain in glory.

Spradlin, Brother Colonel-Was born March 3, 1881, departed this
life April 18, 1957, age 76 years 1 month and 15 days. Brother Spradlin
early in life made his profession in Christ, united with the Rock Creek
Baptist Church. He was also ordained a deacon of the Rock Creek Church on
December 16, 1934 and later moved his letter to Beech Grove Church, and
lived a faithful Christian life until death. He married Isabell Winchester
and to this union were born six children. His wife and four children
preceded him in death. He later married Pollie Watson. Survivors, Pollie
Spradlin, his wife, Strunk, Ky.; two daughters, Bethena King, Whitley City,
Ky., and Mary Spradlin Strunk, Ky.; three sisters, Mandy Smith, Frankfort,
Ky., Maggie Foster, Knoxville, Tenn., Alice Spradlin, Pine Knot, Ky.; one
brother, Mack Spradlin, Pine Knot, Ky. We feel our loss is his eternally
gain in glory. Funeral services were held at the Beech Grove Baptist Church
at 2 p.m. April 20, 1957 with Rev. Levi Cox and Rev. Crit King officiating.
Burial was in the Watters Cemetery.

Boyatt, Jimmy-Son of Anda[Andy] and Emerine Boyatt, born March 1, 1888,
deceased this life October 6, 1956. He joined the Beech Grove Baptist
Church, August, 1944 and lived a devoted life until death. He was united in
marriage to Lee Etta Phillips, December 30, 1911. To this union were born
eleven children, two of which preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his
absence, his wife, Lee Etta Boyatt, and four boys, William A. Boyatt, Blue
Heron, Harvey Boyatt, Stearns, Ky., Sunny and Junior, Stearns, Ky.; five
girls, Mrs. Ester King, Mrs. Dovie Ross, Mrs. Maggie Heath, Mrs. Lena Wilson
and Mrs. Orangie Dolen, all of Stearns, Ky.; one sister, Hattie Terry, Elk
Valley, Tenn.; one brother, Gordon Boyatt, Oneida, Tenn., and 41
grandchildren and a host of friends and love ones to mourn his passing. We
feel sure our loss is his eternal gain in glory.

Harness, Thelma Byrd-Was born May 11, 1921, deceased this life
October 27, 1956. She was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church at Winona.
She leaves a husband, 2 sons and 1 daughter, father, 3 brothers, 5 sisters,
a number of aunts and uncles and a number of relatives and friends. Well
known in this community from date of birth until called away into the
beyond.

Reed, Sallie-Daughter of the late Charles and Sallie Phillips,
born July 15, 1876, deceased March 11, 1957, age 80 years, 7 months, 26
days. She professed a hope in Christ at 20 years of age and joined the
Cherry Fork Baptist Church about 1896. In 1922 she moved her membership to
Tunnel Hill Church as a Charter member. In 1933 she moved her membership to
Hazel Valley Church where she remained until death. She was married to
Isaac Reed November 18, 1897. To this union were born 9 children, 7 sons
and 2 daughters. Her husband and 2 daughters and one son preceded her in
death, leaving 6 sons to mourn her absence. She also leaves a number of
relatives.

Bridges, William-Born February 19, 1871, passed away March 1, 1957 at the
age of 86 years. He professed a hope in Christ and joined the Upper
Capuchine Church and was baptized the 2nd Sunday in March, 1902, and lived a
devoted Christian life. He always attended his church as long as he was
able to go. He kept his membership in the Upper Capuchine Church as long as
he lived. He leaves 1 son, D. L. Bridges, 5 daughters, Nellie Phillips,
Ella Terry, Naomi McPeters, Esther Meadows and Mary Bridges to mourn his
leaving, but all are prepared to go and meet him where there will be no more
parting. He also leaves a host of grandchildren and many friends to mourn
his absence, but we feel our loss here is his eternal gain in heaven.

Botts, Rev. W. T.-Was born June 21, 1869, deceased this life
October 5, 1957, being 88 years old. He professed a hope in Christ at the
age of 17 years, being a member of the Church for 71 years. He first joined
the New Salem Baptist Church and later brought his letter to the Annadel
Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until death. He was
ordained to the ministry of the Gospel in the year 1923, being a ordained
minister for 34 years. He was married to Theresa Cook. To this union were
born 10 children. His wife and 2 children preceded him in death. 8 were
living, 4 girls, Mrs. Dan McPhail, Mrs. Watson Whitson, Mrs. Carmie Byrd and
Mrs. Fletcher Byrd, 4 boys, Elmer, Robert, Harrison and Luster Botts. We
feel our loss is his eternal gain in glory.
