Peters, Freddie Otto-Age 56 years 9 months and 5 days, was born February 1,
1909 and died November 6, 1965 at 6:10 a.m. at his home. Freddie, the son
of Wiley Peters, deceased 1948, and Ada Peters, Armathwaite, Tennessee. He
was married to Ollie Davis April 5, 1931. Three daughters, Mrs. Roxie
Draughn, Muncie, Indiana, Mrs. Wilma Taylor, Tipp City, Ohio & Miss Wanda
Peters, Armathwaite, Tenn. were born to his union. His wife Ollie, preceded
him in death in May 1939. He was united in marriage to Imogene Terry
September 19, 1943. To this union was born six children as follows:
Freddie Otto, Jr., Wartburg, Tenn., James Gayson, Lansing, Tenn., Ronald
Ernest, residing at home, Margaret Effie, residing at home, Naomi Jean,
residing at home and Donald Lee, deceased in infancy. Also surviving him
are one brother, Charles Ernest of Armathwaite, Tenn. and four sisters as
follows: Mrs. Sarah Mills, Armathwaite, Tennessee, Mrs. Flossie Voiles,
Louisville, Tennessee, Mrs. Delphia Wesley and Mrs. Opal Duncan both of
Muncie, Indiana. Three sisters departed this life before him, Mrs. Leoa
Ellis, Mrs. Alva Smith and Mae Peters. He also had three half-sisters, Mrs.
Bitha Laudin, Armathwaite, Tenn., Bertha Jones and Mary Peters, both
deceased. His grandchildren are Elaine Draughn, Nola Jean Taylor and
Michael Taylor. Freddie made his profession of faith in God at the age of
12 and joined the Honey Creek Church where he was a member when he died. He
was ordained for the ministry November 12, 1950. His ministry included
service in fifty-five revival and pastorship of eight churches resulting in
314 professions and 82 renewals recorded from revivals. His pastorship at
death was with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Stockton,
Tennessee and the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at Lansing, Tennessee.

Mays, Ruby Loudin-Was born in Scott County, Tennessee February 8, 1907 and
departed this life August 31, 1966. She was married to Dilbert Mays
February 29, 1924. Survivors: Husband, Dilbert Mays; 3 daughters, Mrs.
Hubert Duncan, Muncie, Indiana, Mrs. Earl German, Mulberry, Florida, and
Mrs. Clyde H. Posey, Vancouver, Washington; 4 sons, James, Glen, and Artist
Mays all of Oneida, and Howard Mays of Muncie, Indiana; 5 sisters, Mrs. Art
Sharp, Mrs. Arthur Stanley, Mrs. Glen Chitwood and Mrs. Ralph
Chitwood all of Winfield, Tenn., and Mrs. Ora Mae Reed of Chattanooga,
Tennessee. Two brothers, Osby Louden of Oneida and Gilbert Louden of
Cincinnati, Ohio; 32 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She united
with the Helenwood Baptist Church by letter from the Bethlehem Baptist
Church October 5, 1957 and remained a faithful and devoted member until
death. Her family, her church a great host of relatives and friends will
greatly miss her but by her profession of faith in Christ, we look for the
time when we shall meet again where death will come no more forever.

Daniel, Thomas Nathaniel-Son of the late Paul and Julia Jones
Daniel was born in Morgan County, Tennessee, July 8, 1896, passed away at
his home in Helenwood, Tennessee July 14, 1966 at the age of 70 years and 6
days. Survivors: Wife, Susie Baker Daniel of Helenwood; 2 Daughters, Mrs.
Patricia Bowling of Arlington, Virginia and Mrs. Beulah Kucera, Omaha,
Nebraska; 3 brothers, Asbury Daniel of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Edd Daniel of
Jellico, Tennessee and Charlie Daniel of Ypsilanti, Michigan; 1
step-brother, Cam Emerson of Wartburg, Tennessee; 1 step-sister, Daisey Lane
of Texas; 1 half-sister, Flossie Vineyard of Virginia; 3 Grandchildren, Inez
Sue Kucera, Patricia Dee Bowling and James Thomas Bowling; and a great host
of other relatives and friends. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 670,
Robbins, Tennessee, a veteran of World War I, served in the United States
Navy, a member of American Legion Post No. 136. He professed faith in
Christ and was baptized into the Clinchmore Baptist Church in Campbell
County several years ago. Later, On September 2, 1945 he transferred his
membership by letter to the Helenwood Baptist Church and remained a faithful
and devoted member until death. By his death the family, friends and his
church has sustained a great loss, but our loss is his gain. "Blessed are
the dead which die in the Lord."

Terry, Roger Keith-Son of Earnest N. Terry and Mayme Reed Terry,
was born in Scott County, Tennessee December 9, 1944 and deceased June 3,
1966 at the age of 21 years, 5 months and 24 days. Survivors: Father,
Earnest N. Terry; Mother, Mayme Reed Terry; One Sister, Mrs. Paul Davidson
of Glencoe, Missouri; Grandmother, Mrs. Enmon Terry of Wartburg, Tennessee;
Grandmother, Mrs. Manus Reed of Helenwood, Tennessee; one niece and two
nephews and a great host of other relatives and friends. He professed faith
in Christ and was baptized into the Helenwood Baptist Church August 7, 1960.
He was a faithful and devoted member of his church. His manner of life and
loyalty to his church will stand as a memorial of inspiration to all the
church, both young and old. He was a member of the 1966 graduating class at
Tennessee Tech University, at Cookeville, a good student, also active in
civic and community activities. The family, the church and the whole
community as well as all who knew him has sustained a great loss, but our
loss is his gain. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord."

Thompson, Celia Jane Jeanette McKinley-Was born may 13, 1884 and died July
16, 1966 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 3 days. She was married to
Martin Richard Brewster who preceded her in death. To this union were born
six children: Annie, James Charles, Davie, Mable, Omer and Allie. She was
married to Wm. H. Thompson in 1923. Surviving are: Husband, Wm. H.
Thompson of Helenwood, Tenn.; Daughters, Mrs. Pharo Shoemaker of Elgin,
Tennessee and Mrs. Manuel Brown of Helenwood, Tennessee; son, Omer Brewster
of Oneida, Tennessee; Half-brothers, Martin McKinney of New Castle, Indiana
and Eugene McKinney of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; thirty one grandchildren;
forty six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She
joined the Helenwood Baptist Church in 1931 and lived a faithful Christian
life.

Baird, G.B.-Was born February 7, 1879 and deceased this life June 5, 1952.
He was united in marriage to Alice Collins and to this union was born one
child. He leave to mourn his passing his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Ethel
Marcum of Norma, Tennessee; one child he reared, Mrs. Jody Woolby of West
Terre Haute, Indiana. He joined the Union Church of Straight Fork in
1922 an din 1949 he moved his membership to Jakes Branch as a charter member
to help organized this church. We feel our loss is his gain in glory.

Baird, Alice-Was born March 30, 1883 and deceased this life
December 14, 1964. She was united in marriage to G. B. Baird and to this
union was born one child, Ethel Marcum of Norma, Tennessee. She also reared
one child, Mrs. Jody Woolby, of West Terre Haute, Indiana. She professed a
hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Jellico Creek Baptist Church.
She moved from there to the Union Church of Straight Fork and stayed there
about 25 years. Then went to Jakes Branch as a charter member and helped to
organized this church in 1949. She remained there until her death. We feel
that our loss is her eternal gain in glory.
