Hello McCreary Researchers....
I am getting lots of email asking about the new county history book and
when those who have paid for it can expect to receive it.
I just wanted to reiterate that I will post ANY and ALL news that I receive
on the progress of the new history book to the MCHGS page on the McCreary
County website.

I know that there was an ad in the last issue of Kentucky Explorer magazine
that said the books were ready and available. This has apparently confused
many people. After seeing the ad, I contacted MCHGS's president through her
daughter and asked about this. She told me that the ad was a "misprint" and
that the books are NOT ready yet.

I do not get regular updates from them (although I would very much like to)
and must contact them and ask for updated information but whenever I can
find out anything I will always post it to the website for you. I know that
many are getting worried because it has taken so long. But I am sure that
it will be delivered in the not-to-distant future and I am sure that the
MCHGS appreciates your patience. I will also post any information about any
other subjects connected with MCHGS to that page, if I am made aware of
them. Please visit the MCHGS page at the McCreary site for any news that I
recieve about the book or any other news from MCHGS.

I also want to let you know that my computer crashed and burned recently
and I am just now getting back online so if any of you have written to me
and have not received a reply, that is the reason.
