"The following boys have enlisted in the U.S. Army over the week-end when
recruiting officers were at Stearns and have been taken to Fort Knox to
begin their training:

Oda S. Smith
Noble Davis
J. D. Cooke
Luke E. Ross
Cecil Wright
John E. Davenport
Bethurum King
Noble Ball
William Meadors

This is the second group of enlistees during the past month."
