Hello Everyone ....
Today I was asked by the mother of a young deployed soldier why we are not
seeing the massive display of the American flag across our nation the way
we did after 9-11. It started me thinking that maybe it is only because we
haven't thought to do that yet with all of our attention focused on what is
happening. Remember when the picture of the United States was almost
entirely red, white and blue? Remember when pictures of American flags
blanketing the country were shown on television and in newspapers all
around the globe?

I think most of us are still flying the flag from that time or we fly it
*all* the time, but it's not like it was then. We need now, more than ever,
to see a movement started to show our troops and the world that we, back
here at home, believe in our country and stand behind it and our troops who
are sacrificing so much --- not just for *us* but for the cause of
liberation and freedom.

We are not talking politics here. Our nation is at war. Thousands of our
young men and women are in a foreign land putting their lives on the line
for all of us. We know there are dissenters and people who disagree with
what is happening but the fact of the matter is that it *is* happening and
there is very little that any of us can do other than pray and show the
world that we are united, that we are still, as we have always been, one
nation and that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Please help to spread the word. Let's get those stars and stripes out there
on every home and on every street corner again, the way we did after the
tragedy of 9-11. Think of what it could mean to our troops to see that -
and also what it would say to the rest of the world. We can do this and we
can make a difference. We did it before and we can do it again.

If you want to see true human shields, walk through Arlington Cemetery. Let
us stand proud, and let us be the human shields of prayer, encouragement
and support for the President, our troops and their families. Those are the
people who have earned and deserve shielding.

Protect them as they protect us.
