Wm Marion Holt b 4/7/1837 Whitley Co., KY married Elizabeth S. Wilson in
Scott Co., TN April 7, 1862. Elizabeth mentions in her pension request that
she last saw Marion Holt around July 1864. Elizabeth had a daughter Mary born
about Sept 1865, who possibly was 2nd wife of James Kidd in Whitley Co., KY
and died in 1932 I have a copy of request for pension by Elizabeth S. Wilson.

Marion's 2nd wife was Talitha Cathern Lathrom, they married Feb 1868, in
Missouri. Had 10 children. In 1884 he found he was not divorced from his
first wife Elizabeth S. Wilson. Elizabeth believed he had been killed in the
Civil War and applied for his pension. Elizabeth married 2nd husband Elic
Taylor, thinking she was a widow.

Marion &Talitha separated and he divorced Elizabeth Salt Lake City tape
#931808 pg 585 #744, Wed. March 27, 1885. Marion &Talitha were married in
Ava, Mo. by J.B. Andrews, J.P., March 29, 1885, . Salt Lake City Tape 940522
#139. Their son General Sherman Holt married Margaret Woods the same place &
day. My father Leo Hollie Holt b March 10, 1891 always enjoyed telling the
story &laughing about it.

William Marion Holt was the son of Mary Polly Holt b Nov 1816 and a man
surname Coffey. They never married. Mary Polly Holt married Jackson Strunk
August 1839 Whitley Co., KY. The 1850 Whitley Co. census shows Marion listed
as Marion Strunk age 13 living with Mary &Jackson Strunk, Marsh Creek area.

Unknown what happened to Jackson Strunk. Around 1878 Mary Polly Holt Strunk
and 5 of her adult Strunk children moved to Norwood, MO close to area where
Marion &Talitha were living. Mahulda Strunk who married Frank Sellars, son of
Mary Ann Coffey &Henry Sellars, stayed in Kentucky. I have the names of the
Strunk children and whom they married. Also names of Marion &Talitha Holt's
children, etc.

Looking for more info on KY wife Elizabeth S. Wilson and the daughter. Seek
any info on Coffey father. He was said to be a brother of Mary Ann Coffey who
married Henry Sellars in Whitley 1842.

A nice puzzle, anyone have the pieces????
