MUNCIE - Funeral services for Betty C. Morrow, Whitley City, Ky., formerly of
Muncie, will be Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary
County Funeral Home, Whitley City.
Burial will follow on Friday at the Angel Cemetery in Kentucky.
Betty was born May 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Cora Wilson C. Cooper
and the late Franklin Crabtree. She departed this life, Feb. 10, 2004, at the
Lake Cumberland Medical Center, Somerset, Ky.
Betty was a 1953 graduate of McCreary County High School. Soon after high
school, Betty traveled to Washington, D.C., seeking employment. It was there that
she met and married her husband of 47 years, Richard Morrow. She was a
20-year employee with Ball Corp., in Muncie. Betty was a former Sunday School
Teacher at the East 16th Street Church of God. Currently Betty was a member of the
Marshes Siding Church of God and American Legion Auxiliary. She just retired in
January from employment with Bluegrass Oxygen.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents; a son, Richard Lee Morrow; and a
sister, Alice Lucille Crabtree.
Survivors include her husband, Richard H. Morrow, Whitley City, Ky.; a
daughter, Debra J. Nolan and her husband, Jason, Somerset, Ky.; three grandchildren,
Amber Wanzer, Aubrey Nolan and Chad Nolan, all of Somerset, Ky.; two
brothers; LeRoy Crabtree and wife, Patty, Whitley City, Ky., and Jim Paul Crabtree and
wife, Judy, Muncie; three sisters, Kathleen Marnhout Foley, Maxine Waters and
her husband, Jimmy, all of Whitley City, Ky., and Joan Marler and her
husband, Wayne, Knoxville, Tenn.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
