This was in today's paper. Martha parents Ralph and Millie Kidd Burk were
from Wayne or McCreary County.

MUNCIE - Martha Maybelle Duncan, 41, of Muncie, after a courageous battle
with cancer, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, June 14, 2004. She was born
in Muncie, the daughter Ralph and Millie Kidd Burk, graduated from Muncie
Central High School and attended Ball State University.
Mrs. Duncan was employed at Ball Memorial Hospital in Respiratory Therapy
until her illness. Previously she had been employed at Pediatrics' Associates for
several years and Dr. Hershik's Optical Office.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of Gethsemane Apostolic (now Victory Temple) and
Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Surviving are her husband, Scott; her son, Scotty Duncan; her daughter,
Rebecca Duncan; two nieces whom she was raising, Kennedy and McKinsey Burk, all of
Muncie; two sisters, Marcia Bush (husband-Dwight) and Mary Crosby
(husband-Bing), both of Muncie; her mother-in-law, Vera Beal, Muncie; five other nieces
and nephews, Cammie, Gary, and Heather Murley, and Trent Bush, all of Muncie,
and Matt Bush, Wadsworth, Ohio; her great niece, Madison Bush; three special
friends who helped with her care, Leslie Puckett, Brenda Boling, and Larry
Tafflinger; and numerous other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jonathan Burk.
Services will be held in Victory Temple at 2:30 p.m. on Friday with Pastor
Rick Bowen officiating. Entombment will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery.
Friends may call at THE MEEKS MORTUARY and CREMATORY from 4 until 8 p.m. on
Thursday or one hour prior to services at the church.
