MUNCIE - Estes W. Ball, 88, passed away Wednesday June 30, 2004 in
Williamsburg Village after a extended illness.
Mr. Ball was born in Stearns, Kentucky July 5th, 1915 to James A. and Rachael
(Stephens) Ball. He was a World War 2 U.S. Army veteran at Pearl
Harbor-Hickman Field. Mr. Ball was the last of the Pearl Harbor veterans in Muncie, IN.
Estes married Maudie Coffee on July 4th, 1946 after 57 years of marriage. He
attended True Light Baptist Church in Muncie. He enjoyed horse racing with his
son.
Survivors include loving wife Maudie (Coffee) Ball, one son, Michael Ball, of
Toledo, Ohio; three sisters, Millie Barnett, Julie Estes, both of Cincinnati,
Ohio; Goldei Irine Revelo, Kentucky; four brothers, Hoyt Ball, (wife Dovie)
of Revelo, Kentucky; Darrell Ball, (wife Bertha) of Revelo, Kentucky; Richard
Ball, (wife Betty) of Pineknot, Kentucky; and Ronnie Ball, also of Pineknot,
Kentucky, one granddaughter, Dori L. Throckmorton, (husband David) of Avon, IN.;
two great-grandchildren Cale J. Forbes, and Joycelyn M. Throckmorton, and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, five brothers, Claude, Carl, Mark,
Ralph, James Jr. Ball. All of which were WW II veterans but Carl.
Calling hours for Mr. Ball will be Friday July 2nd, from 4-8 P.M. at PARSON
MORTUARY, 801 W. Adams St.
Funeral services will be held at PARSON MORTUARY, 11 A.M. on Saturday July
3rd, with Pastor Randell Brown officiating. Military Honors to be performed by
Veterans of Delaware County.
Burial to follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Memorial donations are to be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes
are available at the mortuary.
