The route of the O&W Railroad as it left Oneida ran beside Pine
Creek, dropping steadily to the Big South Fork River. Once
across the steel bridge that spanned the river, the railroad
crossed White Oak Creek and began its climb to East Jamestown on
top of the Cumberland Plateau
