Hi Sandi
My Edward Childers was born in 1874. There is an "Eddie" Childers listed in the 1880 census of Pulaski County, Kentucky, as a son of Holbert and Mary Childers. A sister Emaline is also listed. I'm trying to learn if he is the Edward Childers who married my great-grandmother Daphney Tinley, an immigrant from Ireland, in Evansville, IN in 1892. He is listed as Eddie Childers on their marriage record in Evansville. They had eleven children, of whom only three survived. The 1900 census lists them in Evansville, and indicates that he was born in Kentucky. The marriage ended in divorce, and the children adopted by Daphney's sister. There was no further family contact with Edward. It is believed that he remarried and died in Evansville in 1947. Any information would be appreciated.
Sylvia
