Seeking any information on the Joseph WOOD family, siblings, parents, or children. I believe Joseph WOOD may have been born between 1750 and 1760. At least two of his sons were known to have been born in PA, John born Feb 28, 1780 and David born about 1783. His youngest known son Jeriah was born in TN about 1802

Joseph WOOD my have traveled through Kentucky into Tennessee and later he and some of his children were in Cooper County, Missouri by 1820. His wife died there in Aug 1825. Her name is unknown, but she had a sister named Rachael.

John & David Wood lived and died in Cocke Co., Tennessee. Both men are proven sons of Joseph Wood and both were born in Pennsylvania.

The children of Joseph Wood are believed to be:
John - proven son, stayed in Cocke County, TN
David - proven son, stayed in Cocke County, TN
Elizabeth - proven daughter, married a Smith, was in Cooper County, Missouri in Aug 1825
Jesse - proven to be a brother to Alexander
Andrew - proven to be connected by circumstantial evidence
Alexander - proven to be connected by circumstantial evidence
Levi - proven son, was in Cooper County, Missouri by Aug 1825
Jeriah - proven son

It is believed that Joseph WOOD is recorded with his son Jeriah in the 1830 Cooper County, Missouri census and died before 1840.

Any help in locating information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shelia Monday McClure
