Sometime in the mid-1800 the Slavey/Slavy/Slaven dissolved into Slaven. I
half think we can chalk that to local accent.
I would advise you contact more Slaven descendants to pin down exactly
which branch of the family you are dealing with.
Tm West at Scott Co website has a link to the Slaven/Slavey net..I dont have
it in hand, but its about the only way there is to find the correct branch
of the line.
