Tuesday, October 2, 1990, The McCreary County Record, Whitley City, McCreary County, Kentucky:
Ardell Walls , 49, Helenwood, Tenn., died Sept. 29 [1990] at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with the Rev. David Troxell officiating. Burial was in Hickman Cemetery. He was born in McCreary County March 14, 1941, the son of Dova Dix Walls and the late Arthur Walls. He was a factory employee and of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Walls and three brothers, Homer, Ray, and Raymond Walls. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Winchester Walls, Helenwood, Tenn., whom he married May 19, 1973, in Whitley City; a daughter, Linda Waters, Revelo; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Arvine and Carl Walls, both of Hilltop, Sylvester Walls, Sidney, Ohio, and Curtis Dean Walls, Lafayette, Ind.; three sisters, Ada Wilson of Ohio, Maggie Campbell of Lawrence, Ind., and Dorothy Perkins, Lafayette, Ind.; numerous nieces, nephews, g!
reat-nieces and great-nephews. McCreary County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
