According to info from a distant cousin which I recently received, James C. Ramsey was the son of John Ramsey b.1777 in Henry Co. VA and Mary "Polly" Ramsey b.1789 in Burke Co. NC (daughter of Richard Ramsey & Elizabeth Sumpter). John died in 1856 in Wayne Co.,Ky. Mary "Polly" died May 30, 1857 in Wayne Co., Ky. I hope this helps. Fran
