My dad was the manager at the orphanage from 1958 through 1963. I don't know what years you went to church there but if you went there at the time I was there I might remember you. What was your last name when you went to church there. I graduated from MCHS in 1964. I stay in contact with Miss Clara who has been there since the 1940's. They turned the orphanage into a school for troubled kids. You are right about some of the people that worked there being in trouble 2 or 3 years ago. The 2 men that got in trouble are no longer there. They both live here in Louisiana where I live. They did not punish them they just had to leave. The state did take all the kids out of the home though. When I lived there it was a wonderful place to live. What I am looking for is information from way back.It was started back in the 1890's by two men from New Jersey. I need information about the home from the 1890's to the 1950's. I would like to write a history of the orphanage some day. Thanks !
for your response.
