Carol Willie's & his wife's obit came from Tim West Scott Co., TN website.
Bertie's from the Independent Herald.
Willie's 1st wife was Bernice, b. December 30, 1916; d. March 07, 1969;
Carson Memorial Cemetery, Ponderosa comm., Oneida, Scott Co., TN. Virginia
was also buried in the Carson Memorial Cemetery. In my notes I have that
Willie was cremated. I'm not sure if he was buried next to Bernice or if
Virginia was. I believe my info came from a newspaper article and then
these obits.
William H. Strunk, b. August 16, 1912; Scott Co., TN; d. July 30, 2000;
Chattanooga, TN at home.
Gladys Virginia Condra Strunk, b. April 02, 1926; Suwanee [Sewanee], GA; d.
August 07, 2000; Chattanooga, TN at home; buried August 10, 2000.
STRUNK, WILLIE 1912-2000, and GLADYS VIRGINIA STRUNK 1926-2000- WILLIE
STRUNK, 87, passed away on July 30, 2000 at his residence in Chattanooga,
and his wife, GLADYS VIRGINIA CONDRA MILLER STRUNK, 74, passed away on
Monday, August 7, 200 at the same location. WILLIE STRUNK, who was born in
Scott County, was the son of the late JEHU STRUNK and RACHAEL BOSHEARS
STRUNK. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Huntsville and was a
retired bus driver for the Greyhound Bus Lines. He was also a veteran of
World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. VIRGINIA STRUNK, who was born
in Suwanee [Sewanee?], Ga., was the daughter of the late WILLIAM CARROLL
CONDRA and ISABELL EDEN CONDRA. She had been an employee of the United
Hosiery Mill in Chattanooga. Preceding them in death were their parents; his
first wife, CLOIS STRUNK; his sister, ARTIE ROBINSON; her sisters, PATRICIA
HARP, EDNA GARNER, and AMY BEYL; a daughter, JEANETTA KOBER; a son-in-law,
DANIEL NEAL; and a granddaughter, LISA MARIE THINNES. Survivors include
their children, JOHN WILLIAM MILLER of Chattanooga, SUSAN COLLINS and
husband JIMMY of Tunnel Hill, Ga., JANIS THINNES of Cincinnati, O., JANET
NEAL of Soddy Daisy, PEGGY COFFEY and husband WOODROW, JR. of Summerville,
S.C., and PAT UNDERWOOD of Flagstaff, Ariz.; his brother, DELMUS STRUNK of
Oneida; his sisters, BERTIE BOTTS of Huntsville, FLORENCE BYRD and SUSIE
LAWSON of Straight Fork, and ELSIE WEBBER of Clinton; her brother, WILLIAM
CONDRA of Connecticut; 20 grandchildren: JOANN KORB, RONNIE MACHEN, ROBIN
TAYLOR, TONY THINNES, STEVE THINNES, TOM THINNES, VALERIE THINNES, ERIC
THINNES, KIMBERLY COFFEY HAWKINS, BRIAN COFFEY, SONYA COFFEY MCCRACKIN, MARK
COFFEY, SCOTT NEAL, DANNA NEAL LONG, EVERETT COLLINS, MELANIE COLLINS,
KIMBERLY UNDERWOOD PIPER, JEREMIE UNDERWOOD, CONDRA MILLER CONLEY, and
ALICIA MILLER; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a
special great nephew, JOHN BLAKELY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home in Whitley City, Ky., was in charge of the

STRUNK, WILLIE - 87, of Oneida, passed away on July 29, 2000. He was the
father of JANIS TINNES [THINNES] of Cincinnati, O., and the late JEANETTA
KOBER. Grandchildren include TONY (Ruth) THINNES, STEVE THINNES, VALERIE
THINNES, TOM THINNES, ERIC THINNES, JO ANN (Henry) KORB, RONNIE (Jean)
MACHEN, ROBIN (Donald) TAYLOR, and the late LISA MARIE THINNES.
Great-grandchildren include TONY CARL THINNES, JEREMY KORB, JULIANN KORB,
LUKUS TAYLOR, and CLAYTON TAYLOR. (Source: Scott County News, Vol. 83, No.

Bertie Botts, age 96, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, December 10,
2005, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. Born October 4, 1909, she was
preceded in death by her parents, Jehue and Rachel Boshears Strunk; her
husband Leamon Botts; two infant sons, J. L. and Joe Dennis Botts; two
brothers, Clois and Willie Strunk; and one sister, Artie Robinson. She was
a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters:
Imogene Calhoun and husband, Elbert, of Huntsville, and Geraldine Lake of
Monron, MI; two sons: Roy Botts and wife, Janice, of Huntsville, and Jack D.
Botts and wife, Judy, of Bloomington, IL; 17 grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren, one brother, Delmas Strunk; three sisters: Elise Webber
of Clinton, and Florence Byrd and Suzie Lawson, both of Huntsville; and many
other relatives. Funeral service was conducted December 12, in the chapel
of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Guy Ainsworth and Rev. Michael Jeffers
officiating. Graveside service was conducted December 13, in Botts
Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
