Zella Vaughn, age 65 years, Monticello, Kentucky died April 20, 2004 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Friday, April 23, 2004 at McCreary County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Troxell and Rev. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial was in Corder Cemetery. She was born November 10, 1938 at Barthell, Kentucky the daughter of the late James and Margaret Garland Whitehead. She was a homemaker and member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Her parents and her brother, Russell Whitehead, precede her in death. Survivors include her husband, Boyce Vaughn and her children, Boyce Eugene Vaughn and wife, Faye, Whitley City, Kentucky; Mack Vaughn and wife, Laura; Rita Lee Jones and husband, Darrell all of Monticello, Kentucky; Jason Dean Vaughn and wife, Rosie, Revelo, Kentucky; Patricia McCulley and husband, Herbert, Pine Knot, Kentucky and Juanita Sue Clark and husband, Roger, Stearns, Kentucky. The surviving brothers and sisters are, Thoma!
s Whitehead, South Carolina; S.D. Whitehead, Stearns, Kentucky; Truie Lynch, Pine Knot, Kentucky and Mildred Martin, Huntsville, Tennessee. Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
