Just a follow-up. I located and purchased their marriage bond from KY. They were actually married on 20 Jan 1876 Whitley Co., KY. A. W. Carter is Alfred Willis Carter and Eliza "Catharine" Alisp was the daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth GIBSON CARTER. If anyone would like a copy of this marriage bond/certificate, I would be happy to email a copy. Please note, that only personal use is allowed. You may put it on a website as long as it is free to the public.
