Thank you. This is the first time Ive had a solid lead on Savannah.
I think, from this information and the fact that no one in my family had ever heard the name before, that the person who wrote "Saga of a Pioneer Woman" simply confused the names. The person she wrote about is clearly my Grama, Barbara Foster-Bell, but some how she put the name Savannah to her. Suppose thats undestandable, the writer was only 8 at the time of Silas Bells murder (which is the subject of the piece she wrote), and I THINK she got Barbara and Savannah confused, name wise.
If any one else has any feed back on this, would you please let me know ?
