Subject: Stephens Family Reunion
Date: Tue, 21 Feb 2006 13:22:50 -0500

The descendants of William Lewis and Ella Ann (Trammell) Stephens will be holding a family reunion from June 2-4, 2006 at the Quartz Mtn Lodge in Lone Wolf, OK.

William Lewis was the son of John Linzie Stephens and Sarah (Sally) Manning of Pine Knot.
Ella Ann Trammell was the daughter of Calvin Rufus Trammell and Sarah Elizabeth Gilreath, of Pine Knot. She along with several of her brothers and sisters moved to Oklahoma from Kentucky around 1910. She, William Lewis and their children settled in central Oklahoma (towns include Macomb, Tribbey, Chickasha, Red Oak) for a short time before moving to southwest Oklahoma (Hobart, in Kiowa County).

For information on the reunion, go to www.familylobby.com/stephens, look under file downloads for reunion information and registration form. Or contact . (Connie Duke).

We would welcome relatives from Kentucky or anywhere for that matter at this reunion. There are several cousins in this group who do genealogy and who would welcome data on any of our family lines. We know there are Stephens/Trammell relatives in Oklahoma dating back several generations.

If anyone has photos to share of the families of John Linzie Stephens, Sarah (Sally) Manning, Calvin Rufus Trammell or Sarah Elizabeth Gilreath, I would love to get copies. We have a few photos from the 1920s and possibly earlier of some of our ancestors that I am happy to share. Also have some photos of Vina Trammell's family (don't know her married name) from a family visit to KY in 1957, as well as some photos of Lay and King families and others that are unknown so would be very happy to see if anyone can identify these folks. Also would be interested in comparing notes on ancestry of any of the above-named family lines. Because photo files can be so large and difficult to email, I can email low-resolution versions strictly for idenfication purposes, then if someone wants print-quality copies of several, we can burn a cd and use the regular mail.

Hope to hear from some of our Kentucky kin!

Janet Williams, Oklahoma City, OK
