Lenville Olen Taylor, 77, of Lannock Road died Friday, October 18, 2002 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held at First Christian Church. Burial was in the Bellevue Cemetery. Born May 19, 1925, in Whitley City, he was a son of the late Sidney and Lucy Barnett Taylor. He was a retired Corning Glass employee, serving as department manager in maintenance and electrical, former president of Flint Glass Workers of America, Local 1009, a retired member of the Navy and a member of the original crew of the USS Hancock, a graduate of McCreary County High School, a 50 year member of Franklin Lodge No. 28, F & AM, a member of Oleika Shrine, and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Survivors include his wife, Ruby Durham Taylor; two daughters, Kay Taylor Pender of Columbia, SC, and Lynn Taylor Tye of Danville; a brother, Allen Taylor of Whitley City; two sisters, Flora Jean Kelly of Ludlow and Charlene Lewis of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
