Jack, thanks for the reply, but I have all the info you sent. My family knows all about old Capt. Wayne W. Cotton. It's Celina Cotton and her first husband, John Lindsey Brown that I need info on. Celina had a son name Wayne William Brown (sometimes I see it written William Wayne Brown). Wayne William was my GGG Grandfather. When in the Scott Co., TN and Whitley Co., KY areas, he sometimes went by Brown, then Cotton, and then finally Wolford. My grandfather felt John Brown was dead when Celina got pregnant across the border in KY and that this child was really the child of someone else. That's my mystery. Who really was the father of Wayne William...John Brown or who?
