We'd be related. Maybe I already knew that but I tend to forget what I know anymore.

Well, if your Ggf is a desecendant of your GGGgf, the Old Capt. I'd be interesting in learning the connection because I'd be related to him, somehow, also.

I feel very close to my ancestors and have come to love their families and their stories. One day I may write a book about some of those stories. Not a "tell all" book but one to honor their stories of heroic perseverence, their sorrows and sufferings and their joys and celebrations.

And I like discovering lving distant relatives. It is truly neat and makes the world a very small place. Just this morning I discovered that the mother of the husband in a new family in our church down here in Mississippi was a Gentry from near LaFollette. Gosh, I may be related to him.
